About Taply
What Taply is
Taply is a platform that lets a business set up an AI agent to handle its WhatsApp, Instagram, Google Business and website chat conversations. The agent replies with the information the business approves — hours, services, prices, policies — shares the files it is given, checks calendar availability when a calendar is connected, and hands the conversation to a person as soon as one is needed.
The idea behind it is simple: most small and mid-sized businesses lose customers because they don't reply in time, not because they don't have an answer. A message that arrives on a Sunday at eleven at night, or while the team is serving people at the counter, usually goes unanswered. Taply covers that gap without turning your customer service into a robot that makes things up: the agent works only with the information the business gave it, and it steps aside when a conversation needs a human.
Who's behind it
Taply is built by Jesús Villamarin, the project's founder. It is made by a small, focused team, not by a corporation with layers of support between the product and the people using it: whoever writes the code is who answers questions from the businesses that adopt it. When you write to Taply, the reply comes from someone who knows the system from the inside.
That closeness is deliberate. The product is corrected with what real businesses report while using it every day, and the design decisions — what an agent can and cannot say, when it has to stay quiet, what data is stored — are made on that basis, not from a roadmap written far from actual use.
What the product does
- It replies on your channels. You connect your WhatsApp number, your Instagram account, your Google Business listing and the chat on your website; the agent replies where your customers already write to you.
- One inbox. Every conversation, whatever the channel, lands in the same inbox, with the status of each one in plain sight.
- Human control at any point. You can pause the agent and take a conversation over even while it is replying. While you are on it, the agent stays out.
- Private files. You upload catalogs, price lists or documents and the agent shares them when the conversation calls for it.
- Calendar availability. With Google Calendar connected, the agent checks whether a slot is free or busy. If you turn on write access, it also books, reschedules and cancels appointments, always after the customer confirms.
- One account, one workspace. Every business works on its own data; the platform is multi-tenant and one account's information is never mixed with another's.
- Public API. Taply publishes an HTTP API documented with OpenAPI 3.1 for profiles, links, media and cards. Agent configuration, channels and conversations are managed from the dashboard and have no public surface yet. It is described in the developer portal.
How we work
Taply runs on edge infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers), which keeps replies fast with no servers to manage. Authentication is handled by a specialist provider and Taply never stores passwords. What the platform stores, what it uses it for and for how long is set out in the privacy policy, and the terms of service in the terms.
We don't sell your business's data or your customers' data. When an integration is optional — Google Calendar, for example — you can disconnect it whenever you want without losing anything else.
